| Who pointed their finger at us and said, "Give them $5,000 bucks." Didn't they know we'd just go off and blow it at Kinko's and Home Depot? Drunk. Though it was fun being able to spend $673.00 on drywall screws and make color copies on the big paper, it's a little hard dealing with the fame and legacy of being a genius. I suppose we are going to have to speak in complete sentences, spell words correctly and produce really 'smart' work. Signing autographs (at Home Depot and Kinko's) is fun, but don't start getting any ideas- we are not really smart and will never make 'smart' art. We will always be committed to doing the stupid stuff, the art that institutions flip their nose to, the art that doesn't require a degree to create or a degree to understand. Many thanks to The Stranger and Lucky Strike for their curious choice and generous arts philanthropy. And if you are feeling generous, we gladly accept any and all donations, grants or spare change- after all, we ran out of drywall screws.
