There is a lot on the horizon at Vital 5 Productions, some happening in the next few months, others happening as time and resource become available. Below are a few projects we are actively talking about, since some art needs to just smack you in the face without warning or explaination. As always, please feel free to inquire about the projects we have on the burner, and others shielded or undeveloped. If you would like to contribute – artistically or financially, raise your hand, all of our projects require capital and the creative talent to see them through fruition.

Vital 5 in association with 911 Media Arts Center, presents Straight to Video – The first 10 years of Vital 5. This six week exhibition displays a decades worth of video, photography and artifacts that celebrate and recall the projects and exhibitions that show just how fun and trouble we've had over the years. It was also an opportunity to organize thousands of photographs and over thirty hours of never before seen video. The result is a priceless glimpse into the past, showcasing a great range of projects and Seattle artists. And best of all, it's free. Opening party Friday, June 8, from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. Vital 5 announces the artistic collaboration of Jason Puccinelli, Jed Dunkerley and Greg Lundgren. This formidable group, working under the moniker of PDL has a year's worth of projects lined up and ready for launch. With a focus on out-of-the-gallery performance and installation, there collective talents make for a powder keg of ideas realized, and thoughts provoked. Hold onto your seats and get ready for an explosive year with PDL!

Since a good majority of their projects could be categorized as illegal, or at least containing an element of great surprise, chances are the great majority of their projects will not be announced. Of special note, PDL will be occupying the Orcas Room at The Seattle Center this Labor Day for a three-day performance installation. It is a rare opportunity to catch PDL in action with an advance warning.
